Embention will present its autopilots and motor controllers at the next edition of the European Rotors Fair, which will take place in Cologne, Germany, from November 8th to 10th.
The company, which develops high-performance systems for eVTOL and electric aircraft, will present the MC110 and MC24 motor controllers at the show, in addition to its highly reliable redundant pilot: Autopilot 4x. Designed under DO-178C and DO-254 standards, the MC110 and MC24 motor controllers are specially designed for eVTOL and electric aircraft, with a permissible input voltage of 60-550VDC, being able to reach high power with fast response.
The MC110 and MC24 motor controllers offer the possibility to be configured before being used on the final aircraft. Limits, failure modes and operating modes (with or without regenerative braking) as well as different acceleration curves can be configured. Another key characteristic is the capacity to know in real time the data necessary for the maneuverability of the aircraft. It is also possible to measure instantaneous current consumption, power, rotor speed and a great variety of data. All this data is stored in an integrated non-volatile memory unit, which records them during the operating cycle in order to be able to analyze them later and is transmitted to the autopilot for advanced control or early failure detection.
European Rotors is driven by the main OEMs and has joined the European Helicopter Association (EHA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in this second edition. In this way, the show brings together the European VTOL community, including industry, operators and the regulator, to discuss the future of vertical flight.
At this exceptional showcase, Embention will present the MC110 and MC24 motor controllers. These motor controllers are the perfect choice for manned electric vehicles and systems that need to go through a certification program.
