Veronte Avionics Mex, in addition to being a magnetometer, increases the number of devices in the system. MEX becomes a quick solution for increasing connectivity capacity and allowing wiring optimization, especially in large systems.
I/O port expansion
Mex increases the number of ports, adding RS232, PWM, RS485, I2C to Veronte Autopilot.
Data Concentrator
Redundant CAN bus increases data capacity, concentrating signals from other ports.
CAN Bus Protection
In the event of an anomaly or malfunction, Mex will isolate failing devices from the bus.

Robust Performance
Redundant Communications
One of the advantages of Veronte MEX is the robustness of the CAN bus communications. It includes a redundant CAN bus with galvanic isolation, so that it can continue to operate and communicate with the autopilot even if a CAN bus line breaks.
Failure Detection
The system features algorithms for message filtering and “babbling idiot failure” detection. Equipped with a built-in microcontroller, it conducts real-time monitoring of the CAN bus so it can quickly react in case of anomalies or malfunctions in the bus.
Peripheral Isolation
Advanced control of actuators and peripherals becomes feasible, being possible to condensate the connection of control, feedback, sensors… using various ports Analog, Digital, Serial, etc. into a redundant CAN Bus robust to failures and line breaks.

Being offered in two different versions: Veronte MEX (is protected by an enclosure made of anodized aluminum 6061-T6) and Veronte MEX OEM (is smaller and lighter, but requires mechanical protection when installed). Both versions come with reverse polarity protection, ESD protection, and independent power supplies in order to ensure the robustness of the system.
Ready For Certification
DO178C / ED-12 and DO254 /ED 80 aviation design standards are followed during the Veronte Avionics MEX development. It permits ensuring the hardware and software reliability for eVTOL and UAV certification and for the installation on critical autonomous vehicles. In addition, DO160 and MIL-STD-810 test permits ensure robustness to adverse environmental conditions.
